Federal Pell Grant - provides financial assistance to students that meet financial needs set by the federal government. Need is based on a federal formula.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) - available based on the funds available.
Grants do not have to be repaid but are typically only available to those who have not yet received a bachelor's degree.
Or Apply for Federal Direct Loans
Subsidized Federal Direct Loan - carries a fixed interest rate. The federal government pays the interest on the loan while you are at school and during your six-month grace period after leaving school. Eligibility is based on need. Loans must be paid back.
Unsubsidized Federal Direct Loan -
carries a fixed interest rate. You are responsible for the interest that builds on this loan while you are in school and during your grace period. Loans must be paid back.
